Who we are
We build software that helps you do your best work.
Too many resources go to administration instead of the people services exist to support, in family services, NDIS, Child Protection and community organisations alike. We started Flow Outcomes to help resources go where they should.
Most software is built by people who've never sat with families on their worst day. We have. Flow Outcomes brings together a rare combination of decades of frontline practice and decades of building software, and that lets us build something shaped by the work.
Everything we build comes back to one thing: freeing organisations and their people to focus on the children and communities they exist to serve. And because language creates as much as it describes, we build that power into every system we make.
Our philosophy on data. It's your data, not ours. We only ever hold it and keep it safe. We use it to do the work you've asked of us, and nothing else. We never sell it, never share it, never use it to train AI, never put it to a purpose of our own. It lives encrypted on Australian servers, under Australian law, and it stays yours, start to finish.
Why this matters
What it takes to do good work.
Good work in this sector depends on things that are easy to lose. Time with the person in front of you. Knowing what the work asks of you. A record that holds what actually happened.
Most of what gets in the way isn't a lack of care. It's an unrelenting workload, and the weight of writing everything down. It's a worker doing the work and reporting on it at the same time, and the person at the centre, often a child, slipping out of genuine view.
It's also the sheer amount a worker has to hold. Legislation, frameworks, an organisation's own way of doing things, all of it shifting. And how hard it is for an organisation to keep a whole workforce current in that, and to know that it has.
We can't take the hard parts of this work away. What we can do is take some of the weight off, and make sure the things that make work good are there when people need them.
Why we build
Practice, built into software.
That's what makes three things possible, for clients, workers and organisations.
Workers
Our tools take the admin load out of a worker's head so they can be more fully present with the person in front of them. The practice sits inside the tool itself. Guided questions lead workers toward noticing what's working, the exceptions and the small wins, and give them the confidence to name it out loud.
Organisations
Better supported workers and better noticed clients make a service that means something to the people it exists for. The records get better too. Notes that hold the client's voice and capture what is actually changing give an organisation stronger evidence of its work, for reporting, for continuity when staff move on, and for showing funders what the service is achieving.

And ongoing work alongside organisations across the sector, developing programs and frameworks. Nobody here is guessing at what the others need.

What we hold to, every time.

Yours.
We only ever hold it. Never shared, never used to train AI. It stays in Australia, encrypted, and even the AI that processes it is Australian-hosted and barred from learning from it.

Accountable.
Our software supports judgement, it never replaces it. The decisions stay with the people qualified to make them, and so does the accountability.

Practical.
Nothing that doesn't need to be there. Every screen and every tap has to earn its place: no clutter, no extra steps, nothing in your way. If we can't justify why it needs to be there, we leave it out.

Strengths.
Good practice looks for what's working and what people are capable of, not just what's wrong. Everything we build is made to hold that rather than flatten it.
